Who actually builds the store?+
Operator Desk is currently run by one builder. No agency layer, no offshore subcontractors. Your store gets built start to finish by the same hands.
Do I have to create the Shopify account myself?+
No. The Shopify account is created using your email, the build happens, then credentials are handed over. You own the account, the domain, the theme. All of it.
What if I don't want a $29/month Shopify subscription?+
We also build custom static sites from €100 with PayPal or email-order checkout. No subscription. The trade-off is less flexibility (no built-in inventory tracking, no app ecosystem). Mention it in your message.
Do you handle product photography?+
No. You send the photos. If you don't have any, your phone is fine. We can suggest 3 lighting tricks that make iPhone shots look studio-grade.
What if I want changes after launch?+
Complete tier includes 30 days of changes. After that, ongoing support is €40/hour. Most stores need zero changes the first month. Shopify is stable.
How do I pay?+
Bank transfer, PayPal, Stripe invoice, or Wise. 50% upfront, 50% on launch.
Does timezone matter?+
Operator Desk runs on Central European Time. Most communication happens by email, so timezone matters less than you'd think. We work with brands across the US, UK, EU, and Australia.
